Stay safe while job hunting
Our team checks every job, but stay alert. These simple rules protect you from fake jobs and scams.
The most important rule
Never pay to get a job
Real employers never ask for registration, training, uniform, medical or visa fees. If someone asks for money, it is a scam - report the job.
Safety tips
Meet in safe places
Meet employers at their business address or a public place. Tell a family member where you are going.
Keep your details private
Never share bank details, PINs or OTP codes with anyone - not even an "employer".
Check overseas jobs
Overseas jobs must show an SLBFE licence number. Check it with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment.
Trust your feeling
If something feels wrong, stop. You can always say no and look for another job.
